This is a quick reminder that reservations for campsites in Waterton open TOMORROW January 21st at 8am. If you would like to try for one make sure to call right at 8am. They go QUICK! Here is the website that has the phone number: https://watertontourism.com/waterton-listing/townsite-campground/
Please let us know if you are successful at acquiring a site or if you need accommodations in Cardston.
Also, If you could please confirm that you are attending the reunion by February 28, that would be great. You can do this by replying to this email or commenting on the family Facebook page, or sending Deanna or I (Renae) a quick email or text. By responding this helps us be able to plan for how many people to expect.

Hello Beautiful Family!!!
This is an official letter and invitation for you to join the Johnnie and Rae Evanson Family Reunion from July 10-12th, 2026 in Waterton Lakes National Park! We are so excited to get everyone together and rekindle our family relationships. This letter will provide information for you and your family to help you prepare for the event.
Accommodations:
We have a pending reservation at the Lee Creek Campground in Cardston. There are 21 full service RV sites that we have tentatively reserved ($50 CAD per night), and we’ve booked the group tenting area ($44 per night for the first tent of 6 people, $23 per night for additional tent of 6 people, and $5 per night for additional people). There are showers and full service washrooms. This tentative reservation expires Feb 28, 2026 so we would need all families interested in this option to let us know so that we can have final numbers by then. We would need to pay a deposit at that time to then officially reserve these spots. We have reserved them from the evenings of July 9th, July 10th, and July 11th at this time. If you would like to reserve a camping spot in Waterton, these are in high demand and need to be reserved the day that the reservation line opens. It looks like for 2025, the date was January 22 at 8am mountain standard time. Weather:
The weather in Waterton is unpredictable. Make sure you are prepared for all types. Yes, they have had snow in July in the past! And it has been 30 degrees C. It often rains or is windy but it can also be beautiful. If you are camping, prepare for chilly nights.
Activities/events:
We have booked the Waterton Community Centre for the afternoon/evening of Saturday, July 11. We will be having dinner together as well as some great family fun time! The rest of the activities are in the process of being planned 🙂
Food:
Also in the process of being planned. Most meals will be up to the individual families, and at least one dinner will be catered. There are grocery stores in Cardston and restaurants in Waterton.
Cost:
We will figure out the cost for the reunion and let you know our ideas on collecting for the expenses. One idea that was shared was an auction which is a fun way to pay for the reunion. We will keep you posted!

Deanna and I got the ball rolling but we would love to involve as many people as possible.
